How Our Book Club Works

Instead of planning an entire year of books in advance, Petals & Pages is built around community input and shared excitement.

Each month:

• Members suggest books

• We vote together as a group

• The next month’s selection is announced after voting

• Themes may guide our monthly choices for extra fun and variety

 

This keeps the club flexible, fresh, and driven by what our readers are genuinely excited about.

 

Monthly Theme Ideas

While book selections will come from the group, we’ll often use optional themes to inspire suggestions and keep our reading list diverse and interesting.

 

Possible themes may include:

• January — New Beginnings

• Fresh starts, personal growth, inspiring stories

• February — Love in All Forms

• Romance, friendship, family, self-love

• March — Women Who Write - books by influential and inspiring female authors

• April — Plot Twists & Page Turners - thrillers, mysteries, suspense

• May — Historical Escapes - historical fiction and stories from another time

• June — Bloom & Grow - hopeful, healing, uplifting reads  - Midnight at the Library 

• July — Beach Bag Books - fun, addictive summer reads

• August — Small Town Stories - charming communities, family sagas, hometown settings

• September — Cozy Season Begins - comfort reads, atmospheric fiction, bookshop vibes

• October — Dark & Mysterious - psychological thrillers, gothic fiction, spooky reads

• November — Gratitude & Grace - reflective, emotional, meaningful stories
